Klinika San Ġużepp
Welcome to Klinka San Ġużepp

38 Pjazza Vittorja LogoWelcome to the portal of Klinika San Ġużepp, a cluster of consulting clinics found within the "38, Pjazza Vittorja" building at the centre of Naxxar. From the humble look of its facade, one finds it hard to believe that we are offering our services from eleven spacious clinics, situated on three floors, all accessible through an elevator. Our main concern, since the project of the clinics was still being penned on the drawing board, was to create environments where our visiting customers can feel the difference from the usual clinical environment they are accustomed to.

We could have easily created more clinics, by reducing the sizes of the clinics, and taking over spaces designated for the waiting areas. But, we decided otherwise. We wanted to have clinics of various sizes to meet the needs of our doctors and specialists, while making sure that the common areas are well lit (whenever possible through natural light) and provide enough space to wait in full comfort.

But what makes the clinics tick is the ever increasing list of doctors and specialists. We made sure to ask for the best in order to build a good team  and provide a broad number of services to our customers. Although still in its infancy, we believe that we have already reached a number of targets. However, we are striving to do more and expand our team even further. We believe that, through our clinics we are filling a void long felt by many residents from Naxxar and nearby villages, where to date had to look for such services in other towns and villages

If you need any information on our services, you can call us on 2141 6789 and our receptionists will be more than glad to help you in all your needs.

Puttinu Cares

We are now pleased to officially welcome Puttinu Cares within our clinics.

The Puttinu Cares Cancer Support Group was set up in 2002 and began from an idea and a wish to offer a holistic approach of care for families who have children suffering from cancer. The founders of Puttinu Cares were Dr. Victor Calvagna and Mr.Rennie Zerafa. While the first project of the group was to bring to life the dull children's ward in the old St.Luke's Hospital, with the help of volunteers and sponsors the ward was brightened up with vivacious colours and fun pictures for the children. We all know that this was not the first and last project from the group, and to date various projects have seen the light of day since then.

While we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people involved in Puttinu Cares, for the great support they are providing, we hope that our clinics can continue to offer the right environment for the workers, helpers and the families visiting our clinics alike.

More information on Puttinu Cares Foundation can be found on their web site http://www.puttinucares.org.

What is Occupational Therapy PDF Print E-mail

occupational therapistYou might have heard or read somewhere of Occupational Therapy, or "OT" for short, however since it is a fairly young profession and has not been around locally for that long, it is not very easy to understand readily what it involves.

To be fair, it is also a bit complex to explain as this profession is quite vast and can be needed by individuals in all walks of life, from birth to senescence. A technical definition of Occupational Therapy may be…

hayfeverA person's immune system believes that the invading allergens are damaging and in response the body produces an antibody ("IgE") to attack them.
